Script suggestion

Here's an idea by a stupid player for stupid players. Hostlers and stableboys should say something when someone leaves the room while there's an item on the ground. I accidentally left Ceir's saddlebags on the ground a few days ago, and they're long gone.

Weird wands?

Ceir recently stumbled upon some wands left out in the middle of nowhere. They have charges for a spell labelled 'reserved'.

I figure these might just be isolated incidents, but perhaps something's messed up in the item code. If so, you might get more confused reports like this one.

Oriental Adventures says a katana functions as a bastard sword, except 'proper' katanas are always masterwork. That matches the in-game representation pretty well.

Note the category listing at the bottom of that dandwiki page: "User" means "homebrew"

Tylesan: there are multiple conceivable reasons, and it's impossible to say which without looking at the code. "Replace your rng with a mersenne twister and see if the odd behavior persists" is the lazy sort of general solution you try when you're not sure what's going wrong with a psuedo-...

A real life Player Character managed it once.

Apparently moose aren't particularly well adapted to riding; they're aggressive and hard to train. It's possible, but needlessly difficult since no one (on our planet) has ever bred them to the purpose.

Actually, yeah, I can't find it either. I probably have it mixed up with a class feature, or it might have been a 3e thing that didn't make the cut. I just remember taking it at level 15... sometime, years and years ago. Apologies.
