Sneaking and light sources come from reality to game mechanics. I live in the forest... my favorite thing in the world is to take a walk through the forest with my dog in the middle of the night. I walk all the way to the lake and never have a problem seeing my way. I never bring any light with me....

Again, all this doesnt really matter. Why fight for more reasons NOT to implement the class? :P There has to be ways to set them apart, thats the main point of discussion. Discussing how they "actually" are just a warrior with added bonuses doesnt really help get them in the game. Not ever...

I dont think "savage barbarians" running around with heavily powered magical items makes sense. i think that a barb would have no trouble finding something magical... or wearing something shiny... knowing how to USE something magical would be different... As for the no wearing anything ma...

No, I wouldn't rate anyone's roleplay. It is a game, not a contest. Even though, an option for to comment on someone's roleplay would be cool. You can write in anonymous or, with your PC name that you liked bla bla roleplay and bla bla roleplay is not suitable for that race/faith/event etc. I am ag...

This is all fine and good but even if a "skilled" rogue is covering his glowing items and still being able to hide... How does it make sense for him to do other actions with great skill? Backstab Stealing etc etc Doing everything while still hiding his multitude of glowing objects and stil...

I have been gone a bit, so if my remembrance of combat is way off... just say so. However, I always thought barbs should be limited from wearing anything heavier than leather or hides. Even by code if needed. Maybe give them an extra chance at dodgin to make up. Just tossing stuff out. EDIT: To add ...

1) Some kind of time limit placed on positions of merit for players that obviously go MIA (HPs, etc). This of course does not apply those that also happen to play alts, etc... but imms have access to that info. Some characters are just obviously gone. 2) An EVEN-ing out process that gives evils the ...

Hmm... thinking over this again. The entire point of my post.: Before the code change, unless you were fighting more than 4 mobs at once... A naked fighter with GM dodge and weapons was the strongest character. Ask anyone with an incredibly strong fighter. Especially one vs. one, its absurd almost h...

I fail to see how warrior classes are less valuable... sorry... I would still take a fighter along as a spellcaster for a difficult opponent, and I would tend to think most spellcasters would. Bear in mind that most spellcasters are not invulnerable either, especially with the limited duration buff...

Who list - suggestion

As for people gathering in WD MS.... that will ALWAYS happen. There is no way to avoid it, and there is nothing necessarily wrong with it. It has been like that since the beginning. Of course when a large majority of characters are created there... people will run into each other there most. The pla...

Lerytha is highlighting the exact problem that Exer is trying to correct. Yes, but seeing there is a druid online you have a good idea of where they may be... but not having that person show up is not a large problem to overcome 90% of the online players will be in WD or surrounding areas. The chanc...

yah, I agree.... Thats about what I think should be implemented. As I thought on it more... I was realizing that I have had many RPs avoided and ruined because people knew I was online... So thats what I was trying to avoid. This happens with both evils and good alike, but is something to be avoided...

I agree with Exer. There has been many cases that I have seen and run into where the who list has way too much of an affect. However, I do not think the who list should only show those you have greeted for the many reason of keeping a large amount of players online. Example... if you log on and saw ...

To answer part of Glim's post... GMing Dual Wield allows you to wield two long weapons at once. Unless of course... you are a dwarf. BAH!!!! :P Maybe a fun addition would be that if you successfully block an attack... There is a chance you disarm a weapon?? Small chance, but could be fun. I think th...

I was under the impression that a PC could MOUNT another PC. I know being a size smaller alows me (a gnome) to be carried by another (half-elf) and this has happened on several occasions. Perhaps chaning the mount skill to include PC's of same size would help you in this area? Although, I am almost...

Twink clothing

I think this is drifting away from the main theme that Dalvyn may have been pushing for. Could be wrong... but thats what I see. Here is the problem as I see it: 90% of the people wearing "twink" clothing are not doing so because it fits their RP. They are doing it to have a strong charact...

If a PC was to say "I will not cast a spell for 30 days" I would say that this would be stricly an RP situation. There would be no need for any type of log to be made for this. Would much rather see the coders working on new areas and stuff ;) My opinion Pffft.... Oh sure... its just your...
