Re: Funny moments!

What happens when two very lucky people try to play dice with eachother? Summer says 'Pick your number.' You exclaim 'Six!' Summer says 'And I pick... seven.' Summer says to you 'Make your bet and roll the dice.' You drop 5 copper coins. Celric nods to Summer, 'Dice?'. Summer gives you a pouch of di...

Re: The Thieving Game

So I get it -- the people who lost their roses feel cheated because they would have liked an opportunity to keep their rose.
Yea, no, you completely missed the whole point. :/

Re: The Thieving Game

Sure - or you can admit you're just a friend with the player in question, alerted him to the fact that someone with a rose entered the square -as he very conveniently logged on just for that purpose - and thereby deliberately helped him cheese a competition that was never actually a competition to b...

Re: The Thieving Game

I didn't miss your point, and I already told you how I would do things different. If you'd rather sit here and explain how you saw something in a movie once or there was a magician that existed, rather than addressing what I actually posted, I'm not sure what good another detailed post would do here...

Re: The Thieving Game

I'm not sure what you mean. They can't possibly add more details to the smote, because the smote didn't exist in these multiple scenarios. 10 x 0 = 0. Conflating this with "but you don't expect a fighter to pose every swing of their sword" is intentionally dishonest, and to be kind I'll remove this ...

Re: The Thieving Game

1) This event came with a HUGE OOC warning that people would try to steal, take, manhandle, whatever the rose that's in your possession. So I don't think any of the thieves should have given an OOC heads up for their actions. One of the issues that I have with OOC warnings are when thieves are tryi...

Re: The Rose and the Rat

No, not even close. There's so many ways to go about a theft that it would be absurd to start listing them here. There are three helpfiles(four of you count looting corpses) that touch on the topic of taking peoples' stuff without RPing it being bad. I mean first of all, you don't even need to use t...

Re: The Rose and the Rat

A friendly reminder to an unfortunately bad sport taking part - As a general rule of the MUD, you shouldn't be sitting in the market square and just typing 'steal rose x' on anyone who walks by the room. 'Help OPP' and 'help steal' should clear up your confusion. And a quote from help rules: 6.You m...

RE: Tracking in Waterdeep

The original bug report can be found here: /viewtopic.php?f=51&t=22852 This is not actually a bug, in that the tracking skill is working as intended. This is definitely a mild frustration that I've felt any number of times since the room was introduced though. It's not just outside of the bank, eith...

Re: Casual Events!

Honestly, adventuring - as fun as it is - can be just so stressful! How about getting together just to hang out and play some meaningless games? At the Dripping Dagger in Waterdeep, so it's convenient. I don't mean the gambling kind, so the tightest of arses out there can rest easy and come on out ...

Star Reading

An upcoming event, brought to you by the faithful of the Moonmaiden, is coming soon to Waterdeep! Though Oracles specifically are certainly the best at it, Selunites in general are well-known for their mastery over such mystic arts as star reading. We're opening our talents to the city at large, we...

Calling of the Stars

To all Selunites, The newly minted Silverstar Celric invites all of you, no matter how distant or long your travels away, back to the House of the Moon in Waterdeep to meet and discuss the future plans for the faith, and for you. This is a VERY IMPORTANT meeting that is relevant to each and every o...

I really like that grandson. song too! Also, how did I not guess you were a fellow Blue Stahli fan? Metamorphosis is their best song don't @ me (don't feel bad tho, I'm basically always listening to -something- too) I've mostly been on a huge bender blasting my brain with nothing but MCR and The Wre...

I especially like the second one!

Two other (very different) things that've been getting stuck in my head:

We'll never get free, lamb to the slaughter
