I don't think this post was to be about implementations for more restrictions and subdividing of rangers, though I do like the idea of faith ranger orders. The main goal was to open the class up to alignments that don't receive ranger as an option, but should have access to it. I want to see a well-...

It seems to me that you guys are putting way too many restrictions on the roleplays that would result of allowing differing alignments to nature characters. When I saw Glim's post, I thought the idea would open up roleplay, not tell people that they must be of a certain faith to live in the woods, o...

I like the idea, but think there should be some sort've stipulation on evil-aligned rangers, and especially evil-aligned druids. I like the idea of good-aligned druids because, as it stands, a druid who ever sides with evils to 'balance' the equations is instantly ostracized. This will bring more em...

My only fear is that what Rhy said will happen. That, or another way to abuse the system. We're gonna have tons of kids walking around in a patch of grass to level up their Pikachu, if you catch my drift.

Poison

I gave a general looking-over of the thief and bard topics, and didn't see anything that caught my eye about poison. I know that 'poison weapon' is a pretty valuable trade for the darker side of rogues, and I've used it a lot in DnD for multiple purposes - coating a weapon in liquid silver to fight ...

Late.. as usual. Maybe, y'know, some of us are dumb, and we fear change. I decided to open with that before someone else could say it about me, because I don't need you to. I am not a major supporter of changing the list, I like it how it is. I've played other MUDs, and their who lists are crazy and...

I believe it is a good sounding idea, but I don't think the costs should be -so- high. Perhaps set a boundary on how much you can carry to fly, like not above a set amount per carryweight level. Also, I think it would take a higher dex to fly and keep balance, and when the tiefling/aasimar mastered ...

I think this idea looks very well for RP, and it would obviously help if you could say for sure how long ago something was there and how big 'something' was. I do wonder about city tracking, though.. You don't exactly use footprints in the city. I always roleplayed my thief using tracking in the cit...

It would be rather nice to have an immortal's stand point on this, because it seems like a rather unclear subject at the moment, and as though it affects quite a number of characters, fighters good and evil alike.

This topic seems a little old, and I was wondering if this was still current. I've been reading these types of posts since my druid was faithed a few days ago, and finally got around to getting shapechange. The list of what Druids could shapechange to was quite detailed by level, eventually includin...

Maybe I'm a little late for this discussion, but I have some input. I have a little-known Helmite character that was made some time ago, because I wanted a character that was a change from wild and crazy Hrosskell. He called himself a cavalier, and I planned on taking all the mounted feats (except a...

Hrosskell - ... really. The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin. He comes from the land of the ice and snow. Angarato - Something by the spiritual singer, Yanni. He's so natureful. Or a really hippy Beatles song. Graham - There's this song on a CD by this band called Bright Eyes, it's like, number 4 on t...

I agree with Balek this time. It's just too hard to make a self-sufficient wizard for me to say, "Okay, here goes 100-1000 platinum." My wizard is roleplayed not to accept much help from others, he's more of a lone wolf. I'm willing to spend more time so I can keep his RP, but I can't agree with dyi...

Goblinoids and Talking

Will the new goblinoids (hobgoblins, bugbears, goblins, etc.) speak like the orcs we currently roleplay? They are like the orcs in the mental aspect, and I was just wondering how they would speak common, or, even their own language.

I was wondering if anyone could set me up with a few resources about the North in FR. I know that Wizards released something, but my old comp died before I could find it, and now it's lost in the massive files Wizards has compiled.

Eh.. Yah. I've quit before (last summer) and tried to stay gone, maybe focus more towards getting a girlfriend or something, but, it always drags me back, this game. How do you guideline chaos? It's too hard and it limits roleplay. They've already got crime rules set up, to where you can't loot a whole person and anyone who is a good player won't take the best EQ someone has. Hross has died against a Cyricist who could've taken his best stuff, but didn't - rolep...

If any of you've ever seen Thirteenth Warrior, with Antonio Banderas.. Hross could be any of those dudes, but I was hoping for the more handsome-leaderish guy. Really Scandinavian. I like it. Only real changes I made were his tattoos, and.. that hammer was inspired by a well-known god of lightning a...
