We do have supplicated holy weapons and armour though. I'm happy either way with the +2 or +3 for mithril and the benefits for adamantine towards weaponry.

I've only heard of a mobile that will reduce the size of magic gear. Otherwise it would be a 20 glory charge. I'd be all for adding a mobile in the centaur camp that can do the service of resizing gear to large in size from medium gear for monstrous races only.

Another idea would be to increase the variety of rare exotic weapons that pop in an rmi situation. That way we could increase the demand for training specific exotic weapon feats.

As someone that has never received either, I have to say that the random reward system would probably be better served by a reduction in wands and potions than cutting out exotic weapons entirely.
