I have had an idea to improve the usefulness and synergy between the different crafts.
Currently you can make weapons of various materials what you can not do is customise or decorate them. I.e make an iron shortsword Yes, make an iron shortsword with a silver hilt No.
What i am suggesting is that jewelcrafting get to make a number of additonal items for example hilts, pommels, bindings for staff weapons for example. These items can then be joined to a weapon to change its description to for example an oak staff with silver bindings, or a iron greatsword with a ruby and gold pommel.
You could potentially apply the same idea to armour crafting where jewelcrafting could make an inlay allowing for example iron plate with a silver inlay.
This would require some additional items and a new command to join or combine the items, it should only work with crafted items and would require some skill in one of the relevant trades, i.e. a weaponsmith could use the extras bits or a jewelcrafter could add to someone elses crafted weapon.
What i think it would bring to the game is the ability for crafters to better cater to our rather style obsessed player base and provide another element of player interaction.

Trade enhancments
Re: Trade enhancments
I really like this, it opens the possibility of trade and a greater option of item variety and customisation.
