Trades right now are starting to pick up some and I know it won't ever truly be a high priority on them. But I feel it would be pretty neat to have a new one for wizards and possibly clerics and bards as well. We've had this brought up quite a few times, but now is the age on fk where we actually have more magical goods and what have you. Why not see about actually making it possible to enchant these said items. We have spells in game that can enchant some items for a very short amount of time for a steep steep price, but what if we had a way to make it permanent or even just enhance those bonuses to said items or even add ust one? Stuff tends to be capped at a certain rate which would be taken into affect and keep to that model. The cost would be steep and success not always guaranteed. I think it should require kismet. Not glory but kismet since glory is a limited resource and kismet is infinite but not easily obtained only through good rp and the slowly passing of time. So you would have to be invested in both truly for it to work. Atop the in game cost of coin and material. That way it won't be prone to abuse and very easily followed with each person.
We could have things like this be in the mix:
+1 to the bonus already on the item(unless a resistance to element or bonus to a skill set to X where X is there cap for any skill allowed on said item) e.g. +1 to str and +1 to cha for a total of +2 to a stat or +X to resistance(cold)
an affect like: sustenance, read magic, comprehend, or even tongues, or an energy bonus i.e. cold, acid, fire, electricity.
And this trade could also add to. A masterwork lapidary piece could have be used to become enchanted.
a masterwork weapon made by a pc
and masterwork armour made by a leatherworker or armorsmith.
thus it would be neat if in the process the said item could have more customizable options as suggested in other links.
