Great Cleave

Selveem wrote:I can assure you that you won't.

As someone who used to have Great Cleave, the chances to actually use it were REALLY limited due to mobs in FK having far more HP than in D&D, but weapon damage remaining the same. Unless, of course, you want to waste a feat just to be more efficient at killing rats...

I find it inappropriate for you to tell me what I won't miss, Selveem. You don't know what character I'm referring to, or what tactics I'm using. Please do not tell me what I will or will not think.

I do not feel that great cleave would be a wasted feat.

The fact that I was the one that reported this bug, that cleave was behaving as great cleave, should be indication enough that I was using it successfully.

I do not appreciate the tone of this message. This is the kind of thing that causes me to make snide and nonconstructive comments. If you can't refrain from this behavior, please stop quoting me.

Erm, why is it a single post on its own?

It's in response to something in the bug reporting thread, and not appropriate for there.

Re: Tarven:

Before you start in on me, I'm curious if you actually read what I stated. Cleave is FAR different from Great Cleave. Assuming you know the true difference between the two, I think you should find my response to be rather on point. If you doubt this, however, please feel free to read the following thread:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=816

There's a reason why Great Cleave was removed from the game and it wasn't because only one person saw its near uselessness.

Also, in the future, unless you are attempting to goad me into publicly shaming you (which I have attempted to avoid doing to people, but even I have my limits), please ensure you go ahead and PM me anytime you have a problem with me personally. I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Selveem, I'm done arguing with you.

I do know how great cleave works.

I don't need you to tell me how I will feel over its loss.

Isn't that what you're complaining about me doing on another thread?

A person who is compelled to make the statement above generally intends to continue said conversation. If you were done with responding to me, you wouldn'tve felt the need to actually respond. Odd how that works, right?

That's a good thing, as I assumed you did. Since my assumption was correct, I'll admit my suspicion that you understand that mobs on FK have more HP than in D&D. If this, too, is accurate, can you explain to what worthwhile benefit great cleave can really bring aside from killing mobiles such as rats, cockroaches, or spiders? Maybe there is some great redeeming quality to make it worthwhile to spend a total of three feats to achieve the possibility of seeing great cleave fire off.

I truly am interested, because maybe you found a use for the feat that many (most?) others hadn't?

Maybe you're right on this. I'll grant you that. :)

Educating, more like. If it was, perhaps, knowledge you'd already stored deep down in one of the recesses of your mind... I thought it might be good to have a reminder every now and again as you graciously opted to do for me, here.
