Hello,
I suggest raising the success-rate of paladin skills, especially layonhands and call mount. The rates to fail using a paladin skill seems way too high in my eyes. Adding to this, you cannot really get any advances in the skilllevel due to the limited number of uses of those skills, which makes it impossible to "train" them beyond a skilllevel provided by a trainer.
Thanks and Best regards.

da flüstern die Gräser und wiegen sich leicht

I second the notion. The ratio of success to fail with Paladin skills seems pretty bad...

Re: The effectivity of paladin skills
I would think neither should ever fail, they are not actually spells and are divine gifts.
SRD only has a failure for Lay on Hands if used against undead which according to the helpfile its not even coded to be used in that manner.
Summon mount is also shown in SRD to never fail.

This really would need to be considered along with Clerical, Druid and perhaps the invoke abilities of Aasimalrs and Tieflings if their abilities are meant to grow.
Seek ye victory? Ye shall eventually find defeat.
Seek ye defeat? Ye shall most certainly find it.
Seek ye nothing? Then all ye can find is victory.

I'd also like to see racial abilities be absent the verbal/somatic component. I think the Tiefling abilities gained from Fiendish Bloodline are being cast like spells... and I haven't tested it yet, but I assume if you were silenced or held, you wouldn't be able to invoke them.Zorinar wrote:This really would need to be considered along with Clerical, Druid and perhaps the invoke abilities of Aasimalrs and Tieflings if their abilities are meant to grow.
