A voice is worth a thousand typed words so I was wondering what any of the players of those that often sing songs actually sound like. I don't mean what you sound like in real life but what your singing character do sound like. Do they have a very robust voice? Do they sound like anyone in particular? Is it opera? Medieval bardic sonnet voices or the deep crooning of a skald. If you want to of course. In fact, I'll start...
When Granel was alive he sounded a bit like Alan Sherman though a tad gruffer.
Most of my other characters don't sing so that is what I'm going with.
Thanks for hearing me out
What does singing sound like to you?
Character voices?
In some of my characters I have the vocal sound in the description. some not, but ever since I played a bard at Faerun, way back when, I have always wanted to incorporate voice wavs somehow on the mud, for I have been told I have a good singing voice and thought it would be wonderful for Roleplay... the only problem being that I am not a songwriter, would probably have to get an okay for singing traditional ballads that don't have copywrite laws, like Greensleeves or Danny Boy... but you get the idea... I still think that they did a good job of blending the future with the past in that movie "A Knight's Tale".. it definitely seemed believable to me... we will, we will rock you!
What the Mind of a man can conceive, the Will of a man can achieve.
If Hannarr were to sing, he would most likely sound like the great Wagnerian bass-baritone Hans Hotter... in the later 1960s, when Hotter's voice was, as one reviewer put it, "ragged and uncertain of pitch," especially in his upper range.
Either that or he would sound like Lemmy from Mötorhead.
Good thing he's not a bard.
