Spryndalstar
Spryndalstar
The churches of Waukeen and Mystra are joining together for the celebration of Spryndalstar, in which we recognise the positive impact that magic has on our lives.
While details are still being fleshed out, I wanted to announce our intention to hold a competition for wizards of all stripes so as to give them plenty of time to prepare their entries.
The competition is to write an essay, poem or creative work of fiction that demonstrates the positive qualities of magic - either in general of focusing on their school of specialisation. Prizes will include scrolls and spell components specifically geared towards the schools of magic represented: for example the winning enchanter would receive a pack of scrolls of enchantment spells as well as a pouch of spell components.
Other attractions are likely to include
+ demonstrations of magic
+ brewing lessons
+ scribing lessons
+ the chance to buy potions
Competition entries can be sent to Elenthis, the High Mage of Mystra, or Holycoin Kesiel of Waukeen and can be sent via magical post or delivered in person.
Any wizards who might be interested in doing a demonstration of their magic can also contact the above.
The time and location of this are yet to be decided, but it's likely to be at a weekend this month, and more than likely in the temple of Mystra in Waterdeep, because Zazzespur is a really long walk
For any OOC enquiries, PM me.

Re: Spryndalstar
I'd love to bring my Halfdrow wizard(Zuldorrn), whom is friendly with a few of both Mystra and Waukeen. Will he be allowed to come along? inquires on certain spells IC has been told to attend the next teaching event. Just asking because he never wishes trouble in waterdeep and does not linger in popular places.

Re: Spryndalstar
This is tentatively set for this sort of time:

Let me know if that's really bad for people, we've probably got some wiggle room. I don't *think* I've double booked over anyone else's event, but let me know if I have please.

I should be able to make this as long as nothing comes up between now and then

Re: Spryndalstar
I just want to point out that it starts at the exact same time as my gnome event. Is it possible for you to do it a little earlier or later that day?
Re: Spryndalstar
The gnome event takes place seven hours later than this? This is 5pm BST, the gnome event is midnight BST.
Re: Spryndalstar
Oh sheesh. I looked at the completely wrong box when I had opened it. On my phone no less so it was even more confusing. No worries. Looks like we are good for time on the same day!
Re: Spryndalstar
All being well, this is due to start in around 30 minutes.
Re: Spryndalstar
Cancelling this. Maybe next time.
Re: Spryndalstar
Sorry - this was 9AM for me and by miracle the kid actually let me sleep. :)
