Player Council Drive!

Hi there!

It's that time again! I am looking for seasoned and knowledgeable players to man our player council. We have a dedicated group of members now who all give a lot, and could use to have a little less interruption to their own gaming time with the addition of more help!

Here's what you need to know or have:

You need general knowledge of the game. IE: If you're someone who USES the channel a lot to learn things, this is probably not for you.
You need to have been with us for a good amount of time. Over six months would be nice.
You need to understand that if you are inactive for a while you might be removed from the council during a clean up - I do this to help me see who we have in the council and to know if I need to petition the playerbase for more volunteers. I usually will drop people who have been inactive for three months. They're welcome to petition me again when they return.
You need to understand that if you are not answering questions, you will potentially be relieved. This isn't a punishment, just that you don't need to be spammed if the council isn't something you're getting into and enjoying.
You need to be patient - not every player who uses ask is going to be happy and polite. It's like customer service, sometimes you'll get an angry caller even when there's nothing you can do to help.

As a new player, I'd like to point out that this is one of the things that kept me from moving on and finding another mud.

Having experienced players at your fingertips to explain game mechanics is a HUGE benefit to newer players like myself.

It's important, and your role is very appreciated.
