[COMMAND] Elves & Sleep vs. Reverie

Post by Rhangalas » Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:22 am

Syntax: Revere

For Elves, this would be their command to sleep (enter reverie). It would basically be a clone of meditate, but with the spell regeneration rate of sleeping.

When elves type 'sleep' it echoes that they enter a deep reverie. That's the spell regeneration of sleeping.

The echo is part of what inspired the suggestion. While it does echo that you 'enter reverie', you have none of the perks of using reverie over sleep. Sleep is unconscious rest, while reverie is semi-conscious and allows you to see and hear what is happening around you.

It's essentially supposed to reflect Elven awareness opposed to that of a natural humanoid.

The second part is just a peeve, mostly: I loathe Humelfs... it looks like an Elf and sometimes walks like an Elf, but everything else about it is humane. Anything to set Elves apart from Humans is greatness in my opinion.

You could simulate it by posing over meditate, but this option would only be available to classes with meditate and then only after level 10.
