Counterspell in all variable syntaxes doesn't seem to work.
So far i've tried counterspelling my own spell, counterspelling someone elses spell, both a type of spell I had memorized plus I always have dispel magic memorized.
And then I've tried counterspelling a spell aimed at me from another PC and NPC. So i'm wondering if it works at all.
Does counterspell work?

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
