Drawing from scabbards

Post by Dranso » Wed Dec 31, 2014 9:03 am

It seems like you can get a scabbard for almost every part of your body over or under the armour now days. This is absolutely awesome for a player like me who has characters skilled in all sorts of weapon types. The problem I'm running into now is that when I type 'draw' it no longer draws my main weapon from the from my belt loop or scabbard. Instead I draw from a secondary sheath. I've heard that this problem can be solved by using an alias but if you get disarmed in a fight you will lose a turn using an alias like 'get mace 2.loop & hold mace'. I was wondering if there was any other way to solve this?

Thanks!

Order in which they're worn. They can't just be removed and put back on to get it right either, kinda gotta drop them all then pick up and wear them one at a time.

Try "draw weapon sheath". That's what I use and aliased. No need for 2 commands.

So if my halberd gets knocked away, I type "d2" and it sends the command "draw claw wrist" and pulls my wrist weapon. 1 command.

If you're going to burn 2 commands you might as well pick your weapon up from the ground and wield it again.

You can also draw <weapon name> <scabbard name>

so draw claw wrist = will draw your claw dagger thing from a wrist seath named scabbard item.

I wanted to kind of reliven this to ask if drawing a variably held weapon like a bastard sword into one or both hands would be implemented anytime soon?

Since atm you can only draw such weapons into one
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
