Improved Critical

Post by Alinor » Mon Jun 19, 2017 6:40 pm

In the Improved Critical helpfile it states:
Prerequisites: Level 30, proficient with desired weapon type
My question is: When it says proficient in the weapon, does this include racial proficiency or only those granted by the class itself? I have a character who is above level 30, and a grandmaster with the weapon in question (as a racial prof) but was told "You are not experienced enough in combat to train that feat." when trying to train. Any ideas? Is there something I'm missing?

If it doesn't include non-class-related proficiencies, it most definitely should. If the weapon type is on your list anywhere, though, and you're 30 or beyond, it seems like it isn't checking properly.

Are you sure you entered the syntax correctly? Stupid question, I know, but it might explain it maybe.

Code: Select all

train 'improved critical' thrusting blades
for instance. No quotes around the weapon type.
Nascentes morimur, finisque ab origine pendet.

My logs don't show the command entered and it was a couple of days ago but I do know I checked the syntax shown in the help file so I'm pretty sure I entered it correctly. I'll have to check again in a little while just to make sure.

I've tried again, making sure of the proper syntax, and am still being told 'You are not experienced enough in combat to train that feat.'
