Must a squire be trained by their own faith?

Post by Elvoriel » Thu Nov 18, 2004 10:44 am

This question popped into my head recently. I have only ever seen the one Golden Lion Paladin once, Dame Meerlinda, at Athon's ceremony. What if I never see her again, does this mean I cannot ever train as a squire of my faith?

In some instances I can see the need to be trained by a Paladin of your own faith, however the general etho's of all Paladin's are roughly the same.

So is it allowed, and if not why couldn't you?

I would say no. Although the ethos is basically the same, there are certain duties that change from faith to faith. Each faith has some rules for Paladins that are slightly different than the other faiths. Of course, it is completely up to the admins whether or not it will be allowed. Perhaps you could send in an application to them for it. I mean, I suppose you could learn the basics for being a Paladin from any of them in the game, and then perhaps learn your specific tasks of faith from your HP. But, like I said, it is up to the admins really.

Paladins can be squired to paladins of other faiths. :) But if there is an active paladin in their faith it is more likely they will be squired to that paladin. Also remember because you do not see a character does not make a player inactive. :)
