Being apart of a house and not...

I remember when I read one of my old drizzt books that it mentioend adopting someone outside of there house into there own and giving them that name. In rp here is that allowable to happen? hehe just for clarification :lol: :oops:

I am not a drow expert but I would think that drows are fairly elitist, and if you are a drow commoner and want to be 'adopted' into a house of some standing, you probably would want to possess something that the houses can make use of. Other than that, I think houses would like to keep their status quo and maintain their houses with drow of 'elite' bloodline.

Perhaps, alliances with the drows of the houses you are more inclined to seem a better option.
