Astral Body

This thought has been hanging arround in my mind for several weeks now. And with finals and work and lack of resourses to reshearch it, im going to throw it out there.

Foremost it is mostly an RP spell, dont see yet how it could be used otherwise.

This spell would induce a trance like state apon the caster. Seperating Spirt/mind from the body. It would then create a temporary body in the "void" of the dead. As to alow rp to stimulate through death's. I would see a lasting time of 30 (RL) minutes as rps might go that long.

Sounds interesting, but what would happen to the body left on the prime material plane? would it just become the astral projection or would it remain on the astral plane and be vunerable to attacks? Would it require one to pick a secure area for casting? I like this spell and I think it would be great for arcane and divine spellcasters.

Supposing this spell allows the caster to project themselves into the land of the dead, this could be a very useful spell, as it would allow the caster to see if anyone is currently IN the land of the dead, thus allowing them to inform priests that someone may need raising, and aid in searching for someone who knows the person(s) who is/are currently dead.

A very cool spell. I think it should leave the mortal body vulnerable, but if you should come under attack, the spell should be immediately cancelled, just as an attack would wake anyone that might be caught while asleep.
