Looking for Vt100 compatible software
Looking for Vt100 compatible software
I've tried zMud and love it, but can't afford to register the software. The free version of zMud won't run on my Win2k system.
So I'm left looking for some VT100 compatible software. =)
Anyone have some suggestions?

Win2K not the issue
Wenin, I run Win2k SP4 and have had no trouble running any version of ZMud, provided I run ONLY an old version or ONLY the new version. If you tried downloading the new version, then ran the old one in the same session, you probably corrupted your files for the old version; once that happens, it'll never run again without repairing the files. I've been able to fix this by deleting the entire ZMud folder, then downloading it again. If you have the new version installed, but no intention of registering it...uninstall it completely; but critically, never run the two in the same boot-up.
The folks at Zmud changed their copy-protection scheme between "then" and "now," and I think that is what causes the problem.

A mud client called FANG is offered here at http://www.skynet.ie/~martin/fang/ it was Made by Mask's player and it works very nicely. I think it still is in beta but I've used it before.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Taken from urbandictionary.com,
Crack: A small, illegal program who's sole purpose is to trick another program (by editting, imputting a registration key, or some other method) into thinking it has been registered.
I myself use the version of zMUD that's available from this site. Works fine for me, even past it's expiration date.
