Ranger/Druid/Nature novels?

Post by Rennick » Fri Feb 17, 2006 12:32 am

I suppose this may be too similar to the "Resources" post, but I noticed that nobody listed novels in that post. I was just wondering if anybody could recommend any Forgotten Realms novels that were good reading about Rangers, Druids, or anything having to do with House Nature and the Pantheon of Nature deities? Thanks.

Oh, yes... you've never heard of Drizzt Do'Urdan? He's a drow ranger. Almost everybody wants to play someone like him...well.. you should search for the Drizzt wannabe posts for that...hehehe.....but you can read about him in the Dark Elf Trilogy.. and the first book covers his training by an old blind ranger.. very good book...I think it's called "Homeland"

Other books to look for would be those of the Cleric Quintet, also written by R.A Salvatore (Autor of the Drizz't books) look for the Doodad!!
Darkwalker on Moonshae perhaps.. been a long time since I read them but Robyn Kendrik is a druid.
One of the earlier books Pools of Twilight has a couple of Druids who play an integral part of the novel from memory also..
Can't think of any others off the top of my head right now but am at a mates place.. will look on my shelf later and perhaps add to this.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks.
I've read several of the Drizzt books, but I guess I should have said other than those. Something to get me a bit more details. The one where Montolio trains him is called Sojourn, by the way, the third one in the trilogy.
But anyway I appreciate the suggestions and would love any others as well.
