How does one change their race from elf to a subcatagory of elf?

As per our in-game conversation... one doesnt

Some months ago the possibility of those elven characters who pre-date the new race system being amended to their choice of sub-race was discussed and options offered for how it might be done.

At this time, there is no system or policy in place to allow this and we are not currently accepting individual requests for race amendments. At some point in the future, time and other committments permitting, the Imm team may be able to re-visit this and offer the option to all.

It was echoed in game about a month or so ago that any characters to have the race of only "elf" that wanted (and have been) RPing an elf that was current in character generation to long on and say so over the ask (back then, the question channel)

And, as far as I know, it was done, not for me seeing as the race I wanted to change was not coded in char gen...

Is this something different or am I wrong?

Yes, there was an offer to make the change but this proved not to be the best method to use and relies heavily upon Imm time. A month or so on and we can not offer that option to all on a regular basis so therefore will offer it to none until a set policy is in place.

AAhh, I see, I thought that WAS the best method... alright. I stand corrected.
