Mind Over Body feat

Post by Leohand » Wed Oct 18, 2006 4:21 pm

I have been told that this glitch is already known, which is why I am not putting it in Bug Reporting, but the Mind over Body feat doesn't work right, moon elves and sun elves can't learn it. which leads me to my question.

I am not saying this to rush anyone or anything, I am just wondering if it is one of those things that is actively being worked on, or if it's one of those things that's on the back-burner, set aside to be resolved at a later time.

Thank you.

edit: You'd think I'd know better by now, this belongs in the feat section, not elves. Rather then making another post, can someone move it?

It's been a few days now, so I thought I'd say I still haven't gotten an answer to my question. I'm not trying to be pushy, I just figured maybe other people posted and the people who could answer my question overlooking it because it's decended down some. Well, this will push it back to the top of the list. As I said, I don't want to rush you into repairing the 'mind over body' feat, I just want to know if it'sbeing worked on now or if it's been, as I said before, 'put on the back-burner', out of the way for a later time.

Please remember to wait patiently for answer and not demand them on the forums. Remember that staff for the mud is voluntary and most things will be fixed or looked at eventually, you just need to be patient. Everything gets done eventually.

Too add information, the current feat is most likely having trouble recognizing the elven race at hand, it does not consider the new elf race as an elf codewise I believe, it might also be something else though.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

This will be fixed in next code update.

I suppose there's no harm in the asking, but I can predict the answer will be no. And if it was given to you once you've been playing a while would it be worth it anymore? 'Mind over body' only makes you gain extra hp at early levels if your intelligence if higher then your constitution. So at higher levels it can get kinda useless. Oh, sure, you gain a little bit of HP with every metamagic feat you learn too, but the more feats you've already learned, the less you can get out of this paricular feat. That is why You can only learn it before level 1.

I, myself, created a wizard to pair with this feat long ago, but I left him off in the newby dungeon while I waited for this error to be repaired, so he's still at level one and can still reap the full reward. I created htat character like a month ago. I was creating another character and discovered that moon and sun elves could learn it in the help files, and I thought, I like that idea! So, yeah, I've had a lot of patience so far, lol.

It has been brought to my attention that codewise the feat may indeed be retroactive. I apologize for my previous post and leave it for a deity or staff to answer your question.

This feat cannot be learned after level 4.
