Martin has been re arranging his site lately. Thus uploading areas now use a different link as well.

Here is the link to download Fang:
http://www.skynet.ie/~martin/fk/fang/

Since the IP changed FANG needed a change. search for AMFang and replace it with this one:
http://www.japcilkawalk.com/files/AMfang.jnlp

It will then direct you to the correct IP.

Enjoy!

Did you remove the old file, if not this may be the problem.

Ah I see. Download the target of that first link. Then search for that file. I made the auumption that it wasnt being loaded from Martin's site. IF he sees this perhaps he will update his version so that the link will connect to the correct IP.

Just use the normal FANG link:

http://www.skynet.ie/~martin/fk/fang/fang.jnlp

And use File -> Connect and type in the IP. DNS will catch up within about 48 hours anyway.

I added 'Fang' to the nabataean source tree:

http://svn.skynet.ie/~martin/nabataean/ ... c.cgi/wiki

Any volunteers to add additional features gratefully invited!

As posted elsewhere, the nabataean project is now up and running at this address:

http://svn.skynet.ie/~martin/nabataean/cgi-bin/trac.cgi

This project contains the Fang client, and most or all of the sections of FK that connect to the database. Feel free to download and try it out, any contributions welcomed!

I am posting here for the bug report that FANG does not allow a refresh to be used. Instead a Vt on/vt off comb must be used to reset the wilderness map... perhaps someone with the time and skill to make this work can do so?

AH HAH! Thats what I was looking for last month. I was having a problem with the vt map and didn't know you could just turn it off and on!

I unfortuantely dropped my java class this semester... I supppose a button could be written for the client to send those two commands to the mud to reset the screen. I am unsure how involved it would be to code FANG to accept the refresh command.

doClick();
if (Click() == true);
{
system.out.println("vtoff"
system.out.println("vton"
}

*shrug* It shouldn't be more than adding a gui element and adding an action listener.

I've found fang to overall be an excellent mac client, and I'm very thankful for it's availability.

However, it does have problems displaying descriptions with color codes - specifically, it adds spaces in before color codes in descriptions which are not present when those same descriptions are viewed in zmud or the like. Is there any way to fix this?
