Publication Curiosity

Post by Mariela » Tue Nov 28, 2006 1:16 am

I am a bit of a bleh so I am not sure if I saw this somewhere or not... .so if I am repeating something show me where I am repeating myself from if you could.

Does writing for Kingdom Journals count as a publication? Rather than getting a book issued to your name?
Confusion heard his voice, and wild uproar Stood ruled, stood vast infinitude confined;
Till at his second bidding darkness fled, Light shone, and order from disorder sprung.

Good idea.

I think that yes, writing for the Kingdom Journal should count as publications. Unless there are some who disagree, I'll make sure the give publication tokens and adequate rewards to those who have submitted to the Journal before.

An important precision mistake about the Journal though: It is for "permanent" text, that it, texts that will still be of some interest/importance in several months. For example,

- a text describing that Kladian the High Priest of Oghma is ill and no treatment is working and that all are invited to come to the Font of Knowledge to say farewell to him before it is too late... is not for the Journal: in a few weeks, this will not be useful anymore.

- on the other hand, a eulogy describing Kladian's feats during his life, and recording the last days of his life along with the parting ceremony can make it to the Journal.
