I had an idea. With the event's tread working with some zeal, I have yet to see any ingame note posted about the events. I was wondering if it could be coded a 2nd noteboard. One for events.
Similar to the message board but alows someone to write on the post itself. An example would be Miriel's venture into the UM.
Events
1. Undermountain Expedition - Miriel - Planned - MM-DD-YYYY
Event list 1.
Undermountain Expedition - Miriel - Planned - UNKNOWN
For too long have the secrets of the Undermountain and Skullport remained closed to adventurers. I propose that a group of like-minded individuals gather with supplies for a long journey. A group of people with varied skills, strengths and ideas. It will be dangerous, it will be arduous, but the rewards of magic will be worth it. A glimpse of Skullport, famed for its cruelty but also its mystery, will also be worth it. Those interested, should introduce themselves to Miriel in person.
Event reply 1.
> Algon - In accordance to the rules and regulations of the Fellowship of the Undermountain I offer my protective services for you and your group. Please let me know of the date and time and I will have my supplies gathered and my blades sharpened.
Now when you type Event list 1. it shows Miriel's post as well as algons, without seeing algons by just typing EVENT.
As a side note, it would be required to post the PC run events via a message board ICly. This way some players, there are some out there, who dont use the forums yet, can see said information and cash in on the RP options and benifits. Even a seccond noteboard might night be needed, just add this option to the current noteboard.
Event's board.
I do agree that it would be nice for those who don't use the forums to have access to this information as well. After all, one should not have to be constantly checking the forums for fear of missing out on some interesting RP.
On the other hand, (and I'm not shooting down your idea Cret) the forums here do offer tons upon tons of valuable information and discussion. No one can expect all of it to be made available in game to those who don't use the forums. Maybe, it would be wise to use the event forum only, as incentive to get those people to start getting involved in the forums so they too have access to the information and can input their own ideas.
Of course, there is a compromise. Have an in game noteboard stating only minor details, but include a URL to the forum thread for the details.

Let me add as a point of experience here that I have gone to the effort of posting event notices on the in-game note board, and there are still a good number of PC's that either don't know about the event, or read the note only enough to know when and where to show up for the big RP. It can be kind of frustrating.
But what I really want to convey is that at some point publishing a public notice becomes an effort of diminishing returns...especially when going to the effort of writing out a detailed note has the main effect of having PC's contact you ICly basically asking you to read it to them. For the sake of those trying to organize RP's, please please do glean as much as you can from what is written out - such writing takes a lot of time, but it is worth it if everyone reads it! Explaining it ICly many times, while perhaps realistic, is very tiring, and it takes up all one's RP energy.
I think if event organizers found that posting an IC note reduced the number of TELLS that came in asking for details, they'd do it! The problem is that in my experience it sometimes has the opposite effect, and that's a strong dis-insentive for doing so.
