Faith Boards

Post by Andreas » Tue Mar 21, 2006 9:59 am

Any chance of getting discussion boards for the individual faiths that the Faith Managers can use to communicate with each other and the Imms?

Hm, I was wondering if anyone has any follow up for this? It would be very useful to have a board where the FMs could discuss issues and communicate with the imms and such.

Thanks,

Do Faith Managers no longer gain access to the faith forum?

They were used back in the day of HP only. And even then I think only if your God did not have a player/was inactive. Otherwise you talked directly to your God. Now there's faith list in game, so I assume for issues/whatever you email into apps, since the faith list shows who you're questing etc right on it.

Buuuut I'm probably wrong. Just assuming.

Well I think it might be nice if we all had a place to sort of share ideas, questions and communicate. It might be helpful for FMs to have a group setting to share thoughts and get feedback etc. ( since we are all of varying degrees of experience and could well learn from one another.) Of course I would certainly send in questions that needed a specific diety's attention, I was more looking for a place where we could share ideas and "non-critical" questions. If that makes sense.

Also, there are still some dieties who are fairly inactive, and I assume there are still some with no player... maybe it would be helpful for the FMs of those faiths to have someplace to come and discuss? Sort of an FM United Nations if you will? Just a thought.

I don't see why we just don't discuss it here. Someone who isn't a FM might have a good idea for something and not have access to the FM group/board. Another point is that someone may not have a character in a faith but may be able to have insight because of lore they have read or RP that have been involved in.

I am very much in favour of this idea. You can't always plan rp in such a open forum. It would become spammy to fill this board with stuff like each faith talking about the next time they want to get together. But a place where each faith can discuss things like this would be great.
I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

But you cant always plan a RP in such a closed-off forum either. Somehow someway a few chars will not find their way into the group and see the meeting.

Than for this your talking 30 some odd groups to create plus 30 someodd forums where they can post. You'd have to assign moderators and such. It boils down to so much work that Mask's pruning of the boards would be pointless.

All that instead of a simple post in the events board? Seems too much work for a simple task of gathering in game and posting in the regular events forum.
