Combination Area.syn and FK check not catching bugs
Using the textpad on the website and the Area.syn file it offers to download, it will highlight both CLASS_MAGE and CLASS_MAGES. Testedit with other classes and this seems to be the only one that will highlight both. Then when it is run through the FK check, the fk check does not pick it up either.

The FK checker is getting old... it needs to be updated (or replaced with another program).
As for spotting obsolete keywords, you need to set a bright colour for "Keywords 6" in your Texpad settings. All the old keywords and the things that shouldn't be found in areas are gathered under the "keywords 6" group.
In Texpad, it can be found under Preferences, then Document Classes, then the name you used for the Area Files. Select the "Color" option and, on the right, the "Keywords 6" line. Then choose the foreground and background colours. I chose to have mine written in white on a red background, so they stand out well.
