How to prevent FK check from freezing

I know in times past people have had the FK check freeze. Most have sent the area off to someone else to check them to find the bug that was freezing their computer. Was an effective way found to prevent this freezing as I am now having it happen? Or will someone volunteer to take my area over the weekend and try it on their fk check?

You could try this to pinpoint the location of the bug.

1. Make a backup copy of your area file.

2. Remove the whole contents of the "Mobile" section (leave the header #MOBILES and the end tag #0 in but remove everything in-between).
3. Check the file
4. If the check worked, you have identified where your bug is, go to step 6.
5. Otherwise, put the #MOBILES section back in and try again with the #OBJECTS section, then with the #ROOMS section, and so on.

6. Now that you have identified in what section the bug is, try removing parts of this section and checking the area again, to see where the bug is exactly. For example, if it's in the #MOBILES section and you have 20 mobiles, try removing the first 10 mobiles first, then the last 10. Once you know in which "10 mobiles" the bug is, remove the first 5 mobiles, then the last 5 mobiles, and so on.

That's quite tedious, but that should work hopefully.

Alternatively, you can check your recent modifications and only remove those parts one by one, till the area checker works. (That is, if you still know what you last changed).
