I hope this hasn't been covered before, but I couldn't find it-- about how many hit points does your average level 50 character have? I'm looking to seriously injure but not kill (or put at 0 hp) a party with mpmadd currhp, but I don't really know what sort of numbers I should be looking at to do that. Also, does mpmadd currhp actually kill a character if they go below 0?

Total hitpoints for a level 50 character will vary from 200 to 700 depending upon class and constitution bonus.

They should die if they go below 0. Try percenthp - Sets the percentage of the current hitpoints of a PC or mobile. It does not affect the maximum hitpoints.

Are you sure this mpmset works?
I know that there is an if-check based on hp percentage... but I am not sure that you can actually set the percentage (currently).

The only downside is that the hitpoints are not always divisible so it may not equate to exactly the number you want. Like I tried 80% with puff and turned out to get 77%.

Much like the wimpy issue, where it doesn't always put it right where you type it in-- but it's generally close, and at least for me that'll work great

I believe that is because the actual percentage that gets set is a fuzzy number. As a result, just make certain you don't set the hitprcnt TOO low, or you might end up killing the person anyway. One of my first quests had to be edited several times because setting the hitprcnt to less than 10% would sometimes cause the quest mob targeted by it to pop in unconscious or die, therefore making them quite unable to complete the program
