syntax: ??? [ hopeful character ] {}
(Named ??? til someone thinks of a decent name for the command )
The command would allow for someone to send a message to either the god or the high priest of the hopeful character saying that the person is doing a good or a bad job serving the deity and why.
Reasons for having the command: So we know whether or not a hopeful is doing a good job serving one's god. The High Priest of the hopeful's faith could see the list of goods and bads the player has done, and perhaps if the player has a lot of goods the Priest/Faith Manager/God could speak with the character and whatnot.
PS: While we are here, can we do something about the unactive faith managers? Some haven't been on for a very long while.

Well,
Speaking from a FM point of view, I'm not really comfortable getting IC information in an OOC fashion about a hopeful. To me this seems to be the same as someone logging on a messenger service and telling me about what a hopeful or a faithful is doing. It might be a good laugh, but I don't intend to use it ICly. If you want a FM to know that you think someone is doing well, tell them ICly.
Now, I can't really speak from a god point of view, but I would think this would be more ok. Deities are supposed to be fairly omniscient so perhaps this would allow them to keep up to date with the things they have missed. Though of course, they shouldn't just take your (meaning, the person sending the report) word on it.
P.S. Then join a faith with a more active FM. *hint hint*
Feedback is always welcome,

I can equate several existing commands and procedures in place in the mud currently that work like this:
-The post office system allows you to send letters to anyone in game for ic reasons. These could be sent to fm's to illustrate your interest or your actions for faith.
-The publication system allows you to publish books and make a profit. You might publish a book centered around your faith detailing a history, method or way of the faith in question, making you money and adding to your ic prestige.
- The prayer system allows you to post prayers to your deity, making them aware of your situation. You should not post too many as they can fill up the board.
- Faith managers: I'll go into detail on this, faith managers work to help you join a faith, whereas before there were only hp's a deity can literally make as many faith managers as they need to service the needs of their faithful.
Now, inactive or nonexistent faith managers is an issue, but it relies on the situation. If you found you were having difficulties finding a fm you could email applications and your situation and roleplay can be scrutinized and a solution made. However, if the deity in question is active within the mud, they may be working or actively observing the rp of their followers before deciding to faith them. It might seem to be a longer process, but it will pay off in the end. I'd advise one of what I suggested if you wanted to. Just do your best and be patient.

In regards to that...it would be better to stick with your current faith line before abandoning it altogether for another faith. I know it is difficult but if you stay with what you hope for it is quite a rewarding experience.Glim wrote: P.S. Then join a faith with a more active FM. *hint hint*
May you find the knowledge you seek. If you find something else, it is still knowledge, and as such, still a gain.
