Spell components

I just noticed that my priestess is now using a component when she prays that is not listed as being a needed component for those spells, is this something new? Are there now hidden components to spells/prayers? Or is this a bug? Need to know so can begin purchasing if this is in deed a needed item.

Unless you specify the component and the spell it is impossible to say if there is a bug or not.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, so I wanted to post it here just to be safe (I don't want you to think I'm abusing a bug O_o).

Okay, I've only casted word of recall once, and the first time I used it it went through. The only thing is, the earthstone wasn't used up. Is there some kind of thing that makes it so that on the first casting of the spell, the component isn't used up, or is this a bug? In any event, I still have the earthstone.

The earthstone and some other spell components for some other spells take up a few more charges before it is finally used up. So this is not a bug. You don't necessarily use one whole earthstone for one recall spell.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing with charcoal for cure poison. But after I cast the spell a few more times it finally disappeared.

Also (and I'm sure you've noticed this) if you cast a spell and you get an echo:

A whisp of smoke rises from <component>

then it's multiuse, in that spell

Eventually you'll see

<component> vanishes in a puff of smoke

And the item disappears. Either you've used up all charges, or a spell is single-use only
