I tend to use Shapechange.. alot. However I almost never really take note about how one reverts as usually I bring it about myself with a properly rped "shapechange" during the time. However, today while in the middle of RP I just suddenly reverted. I understand the skill has a time limit and that is not what bothers me. It just gives no forwarning so one cannot rp the revert process while/before/after it happens.. it just does.
So .. I wanted to propose a small change. How about a small forewarning before the revert happens so one can either leave or rp the change properly.
[SKILL] Shapechange - small change to it
I don't know this for certain, but I believe shapechange has a duration of 24 hours. Generally, when I polymorph, I note the time of say I do it and keep track of the time. Furthermore, I periodically check my affects list. Once it hits '******* for a while' I start thinking about getting out or reverting myself.
So, I'd say you already have a coded warning. Just keep an eye on shapechange and once it hits 'shapechange for a while' you know you don't have much time left.

While the idea to check your affects is good .. when you get caught up in RP you often forget about it and suddenly Poof! You're naked in the midst of a group of people =P Echo please!! please please.Lathander wrote:I think an echo near the end of the spell duration would be a good thing, maybe an hour or half hour prior to reverting. I like that people want to rp the ending of the spell
I am unsure I would consider a druid's shapechange skill Magical. Polymorph IS magical but ... is a shapechange magical?
There is a novel that describes a druid changing into a wolf and carefully putting her clothes in a bundle and wrapping twine around them before the change so she could carry them in her mouth as she goes. I just always saw it like that.
