This spell will summon for a limited period of time a minion that will join the caster's group and will follow him.
This minion can't attack, is very weak and flies, but it can be ordered to him to change his color and can be ordered smotes to him.

Re: [SPELL] Dancing Lights
This would be great, i'd love to get this onto the ranger spell list (and others)
What matters the most is how well you walk through the fire.
Re: [SPELL] Dancing Lights
So what's the point again? I'm seeing floating lights that change color. Is there something I'm missing?

You'd be able to order it around like a minion as well as that.
What matters the most is how well you walk through the fire.
Re: [SPELL] Dancing Lights
personally, that sounds like a great idea. fantastic opportunity for RP purposes, if nothing else. I got to wondering , though. Would it show up if, say, sent in as a diversion against someone/thing? I guess what I am thinking about is, say for instance, you look ahead and see a mob in the next room, and are pretty sure it is high aggro, could the dancing light be sent in as a diversion while you sneak by or even get a critical strike while it is distracted? something along those lines.

Re: [SPELL] Dancing Lights
Well, what about if it had the chance to confusion or something like that on an enemy, causing the enemy for one turn of combat to stare at the dancing light and creating an attack of oppertunity for the master.
Just a thought.
