Feat: Twin Sword Style

Post by Hviti » Wed Jul 09, 2008 2:22 am

help twin sword style wrote:You have mastered a style of defence that others find frustrating.

It makes it harder for your enemies to hit you when you are wielding two weapons.

This feat requires that you have the dual wield skill. It is only available to those from Menzo and Waterdeep.
Another "what does it actually do?" feat question...

I'm assuming that this means your AC should increase if you have the feat and are dual wielding swords; however, I haven't noticed this to be the case on a warrior character with "wise" wisdom. Am I missing something in the helpfile, or is the change just too small to be noticed in the word descriptors of AC?

I thought the line 'It makes it harder for your enemies to hit you when you are wielding two weapons' would explain it, Do you mean what kind of benefits it offers or is it limited to swords like the name of the feat suggests?
May you find the knowledge you seek. If you find something else, it is still knowledge, and as such, still a gain.

I believe (and correct me if I am wrong) is that the feat's description states it does something to defense, but there is no noticeable difference in one's defense score when wielding two (sword-type) weapons.

I think he is asking if this feat has been adjusted yet for the new AC system.

Exactly.

And if it is indeed restricted to dual swords only or if it may also be used with any combination of weapons that would be nice to know. Thanks.

While we may not always agree on an issue, I believe Hviti's player to be an intelligent person. Surely he can answer Oghma's question of clarification on his own.

I'd like to apologize to anyone else, as well as Lathander, if they felt my attempt at clarity was due to my belief of Hviti's ignorance and/or inability to properly articulate his questions.

I have spoken to his player and RPed with his characters. Hviti is a very capable person. I certainly meant no disrespect. Just trying to help.

Thanks.

Thanks for both of the responses; I didn't find anything offensive about Selveem's post - it just clarified the question - if it hadn't been what I'd been looking for, I would have stated so in the response.
And thanks for the vote of confidence in my mental capabilities :)
...
But would someone happen to know the answer to those questions? :D
