[EVENT] First Tide
[EVENT] First Tide
As the ice begins to break in the docks of Westgate, the Church of Umberlee, most Beauteous Queen of the Sea, calls all to celebrate First Tide.
Celebrations will begin with a parade followed by a ritual offering to Her. Celebrants are then invited to partake in a feast and revel at Whitecap Hall.
All bards are invited to contact the Waveservant Maeithra if they would care to perform in honour of the Wind and the Waves.
OOC: It's been far too long since we had a First Tide shindig! Proposed time and date for this is: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... c=0&p1=136
Let me know if that doesn't work and we'll try and give it a tweak.

Re: [EVENT] First Tide
I might be working that day, but I am going to try to pull some strings. I remember last time Coralie attended one was about, two years ago, so I defiantly want to try to make this one.
The winds grow high;
Impending tempests charge the sky;
The lightning flies, the thunder roars;
And big waves lash the frightened shores.

The Wind and Waves carry news that Umberlee's High Bard will be in attendance to administer to certain matters of faith. Those seeking to serve the Queen of the Sea are invited to attend and learn more about servitude to Her.

Hey Dae is back! I don't believe it will take that long. A march to the docks, throw in an animal, a few words, then a couple of drinks. Might be three hours if I understand right. That is unless some others show up.. All evils are invited, as long as you pay tribute to Da Sea Queen and don't cause TOO much trouble.

Actually just to clarify - this is NOT limited to evils. Goods (and neutrals you fence sitters you) are just as welcome.

Re: [EVENT] First Tide
Should I be concerned that I have a RL sailing trip planned that weekend?

Re: [EVENT] First Tide
Alright, I got a headcount of 6 Umberlants. (Dae, Mae, Duvas, Julie, Coralie, and Rebekkah.)
Would also like a headcount on others coming. Dont know if we need more booze and food.
Thanks

I might bring along a hopeful if I can make it at the time.

Three more days!
Anyone else dare to step forward and join this celebration to The Queen of the Depths?

Just over an hour to go chaps and chapesses! It's all a-happening in Westgate - meet at the city gates if you're coming for the parade

Thanks for setting this up! I enjoyed it, but unfortunately got cut off partway through.
Julietana, once you recover from your illness, could you drop me a PM about faithing? I'll be around less now that the new term is starting, but I'd like to arrange a time if possible.
