Idea about Smithing

The making of staves is not a part of smithing. The reason being is that wood is the primary material for staves and quarterstaves. Typically, the staves that are metal are simply metal covering wood. A staff made of solid metal would be immensely heavy.

There is a helpfile for staffmaking in the game. However, I do not know if it is actually present in the game at this given time.

Staff making helpfile is about crafting staves with spells in them. Non-magic staves are crafted via the woodworking trade, I believe, or a combined knowledge of weaponsmithing and woodworking. Never had a need in-game to make one, so not sure on the specifics.

Well it has been some time and have aquired the proper trades and skill lvls in those trades and I have found that you cannot make a "metal" staff. I was wondering if it might be possible to add something where you can make a titanium quarterstaff or what ever the metal is? I understand a staff that was completely metal would be rather heavy so maybe it would be metal plated? I am not sure on how possible it is but from mobs you can buy staffs/quarterstaffs with a metal name in the adjective of the weapon and would like to see it possible to have character made ones as well.
