With the move to 3.5 with combat code and feats, I was hoping Power Attack feat could be updated.
My proposal would be to change power attack toggle to include a numerical value (which CANNOT be less than 1). For those of you who do not know what a Base Attack Bonus is, I'll give you the short and sweet: To hit an opponent, you must either get an attack roll equal or greater to the opponent's armor class (their defense score). This attack roll consists of a dice that is 20-sided, then your 'base attack bonus' is added + your strength modifier (dexterity, in some cases, for those who take weapon finesse).
To continue on:
For instance, my level 50 fighter has a Base Attack Bonus of 20. I want to take 10 of that and apply it to damage so my chance to hit is severely decreased. To activate it, I would:
config +power attack 10
My resulting attacks would be impacted, as well.
First attack: +10 (to hit)
Second attack: +5
Third attack: 0
Fourth attack: -5
Fifth attack: -10
(Obviously this isn't exactly the most intelligent thing to do, but it is just an example)
The other change I would like to suggest is that, per 3.5 rules, those wielding a two-handed weapon, get double their sacrifice in hitroll (the number plugged in after "config +power attack").
