Midnight Madness Ball

Post by Aveline » Mon May 18, 2009 3:46 am

Recently, the Mystran faith has recognized many new faces. It is time we all got together to get to know one another, old and new! So we are organizing a ball for the Mystran faith. All Mystrans, and hopefuls of the faith are invited to attend. Each Mystran will be given one invitation to give to someone outside of the faith who may attend as a date. Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided. Come in your best! It will be held in the new ballroom in Waterdeep near the Singing Sword Tavern. This is just meant to be a time for us to relax and get to know one another. Please see Gesine and Ariala for details. The tentative time is this time. If too many people cannot make this time we'll reschedule. This event will be only for Mystrans and their dates. So if you are not a Mystran and you do not have an invitation, please do not attempt to come.

Also, we are looking for one more bard that would be willing to perform. We want our Mystran bards to be able to enjoy the party and have fun rather than worrying about entertaining the rest of us. If you are a bard and you are interested please contact Gesine or Ariala.

OOC: We're really hoping for a big Mystran turn out for this so if you have Mystrans you haven't played in a while, dust them off and get them out. There are quite a few new members lately so it will be a good chance for us all to interact and catch up with one another. If you want to come but can't make the time tell me and we'll see what we can do about making it so the most people can come.

Grenwyn will try to make it, but as it's pretty late Sunday night over here I can't make any guarantees as to how long he'll be able to stay if he's able to come at all. We'll have to see a little closer to the date.

That's the wee-small hours for me-as-Rowena, so I wouldn't be able to make it unfortunately.

Alrighty, looks like everyone who I've talked to so far would have an easier time making this if it started earlier. So.. let's try having it start four hours earlier at this time.

*edited to change it to sunday rather than saturday

That's a day and four hours earlier (unless I'm having epic math fail). Presuming you meant to have it on the Saturday rather than the Sunday, that's fine for me. If it's a mistake and you meant it for the Sunday, I could probably still attend for a couple of hours.

Seconding Quin here,

Is it on the 30th or the 31st? The whole reason some of us performers may have difficulty with a late event on the 31st(Sunday) as was originally advertised is because we are working schmucks and need our rest. If it's on the 30th (Saturday) then later on in the day isn't that big of a deal.

*sighs* I was doing so good with the whole posting thing too. It's Sunday. Saturday is the Waterdeep fair. I'll change the link above. Sorry about that!

Elenthis will be in attendence. Whats a party without a wet blanket? :-)

I've made a list of what we non Mystrans expect to see here.

Polyester Leisure Robes.
Prismatic Disco-Balls.
Mid-air dance floor with everchanging colored squares of faerie fire.
Big Enchanted Gold Chains with various symbols.

Am I missing anything else for expectations?

That time on a Sunday evening should allow me to swing by and catch up with old friends so I look forward to seeing you all there.

And since the role of wet blanket is already taken, I'll be the one without a date but two left feet ;)
Love magic for itself. Do not treat it just as a weapon to reshape the world to your will. True wisdom is knowing when not to use magic. Magic is an Art, the Gift of the Lady, and those who wield it are privileged in the extreme.

This was a fun event! Thanks for the invite!

2 events in as many days? You're going to spoil me. :D
