Group Battle contest!

Post by Zorinar » Fri Sep 04, 2009 6:15 am

An Idea just came to me. We Tempurians have held many contests of skill over the years, one against one. The contests have gone well and have showed the true colors of a warrior, and their resolve in one on one combat. But, how well would you fare when fighting along side companions in such an event? Would you fumble over each other, or work in unison, in complete harmony to accomplish your goal?

Before I we too far with this, I would like to know the interest of such a contest. Basically you would choose your group of three or four (we can determine group sizes later) and match up against another equally sized group. This doesn't even have to be all on the same day, we can split up the fights and publish the results as they go. Perhaps even have a king of the hill type of thing.

So, what say you?
Seek ye victory? Ye shall eventually find defeat.
Seek ye defeat? Ye shall most certainly find it.
Seek ye nothing? Then all ye can find is victory.

perhaps even have three trees. One for NonCaster, One for Casters, and one for Combined. Show the different tactical ideas and how they are handled?

Everyone invited to join of course. If the dwarves want to make a little (pun intended) dwarf group to represent mordain, or if the Orcs think they can show the power of the orc to be superior, or if the Moonblades think their training makes them elite.. or even if a random mix thinks they have the best advantage bring it on I say. I would personally think that the mix of classes in the group would make it fun, but I am sure that if this got off the ground any kind off-shot, like 5 warrior against 5 warrior,or only mounted combat or large scale Elf vs Orc etc... would be possible as long as the people involved could all agree to the time and place.

I call Briek and Allistair. (;
Zorinar murmurs 'We need a fighter if we ever attempt that again'
Anya murmurs 'If Christoph were around, he'd be enough, I'd be willing to bet.'

Although events are organised in an OOC fashion, please do ensure that in game the competitions and encounters are IC.

Orcs and elves competing against each other in such an event would be hard to cover ICly.
