Working Signet Rings

Is there a way we could use high quality lapidary skilled players to make working signet rings that could seal parchment with candles that are lit?

Like, a "ring with the Quellios family crest" that could seal parchment so the parchment became "a piece of parchment sealed with the crest of Quellios" or the likes (something that isn't too long, or maybe seen only with 'examine' command).

I really lke this, but I think it can be r'pd rough writing rather than made into a function. By signing the end of an not using ascii art or just rping the function. But if it were possible I'd love to see rings like that.

Like Gwain said you could RP it out, even add it somehwere on there (in the note section) The signet rings would be quite cool, but it might take some coding. You also might have to send in a application to Sharni so the ring can bear the family crest so she can change it and code it to where it has the crest on the parchment. Might take to much coding and it would probably take a lot of work on Sharni's side. Maybe important royal families can send in a app. for a signet ring

As far as I know, renames are still out of the picture. It would benefit only one person, not the player community at large.

Another small note to be added here is that your not allowed to play as a member of a noble family (let alone royalty) without an application first being approved. This does not go against the signet ring idea as many would have them for every day trading still, just thought it should be noted.

True, but if you had sent in the app. and were RPing being in a nobel family, possibly sending in a app. to see if you can get the signet ring, of course you might have to first have the ring made, then have your app. approved, then coded.

Quite some work, just for a ring though

Would be pretty cool, although it can be Rped out, and I have seen family and religous quests RPed out on parchment. EG: (a blue wave is here under <player name> signature.
