Anyone able to give me some insight into how the coding of armor making works?
the skin of a xorn
creates either
leather armour of a xorn
or
hide armor of a xorn
If I were to put in a skin, renamed to: dragon scales
Would i be able to create:
hide armor of dragon scales?
Leatherworking question
Re: Leatherworking question
The code won't recognize renamed skins. It would revert to the original hide description.

Re: Leatherworking question
Is there a list, then, of original skins?
Would it work with tanned skins then? But would limit it to leather armor instead of hide armor?

Re: Leatherworking question
Well I'm sort of working from the theoretical. What I know is that a renamed mobile will still keep the same hide it had before, a renamed hide will revert to the original hide, be it leather or skin. its because the creature is coded that way. It would be safe to assume that the only way to get dragonscale matter for processing would mean adding dragonscale to the skinnables.

Re: Leatherworking question
What if I were to create skins, with specific names? Would that work? Like the wood vendor in highmoon or something like that?
