He said he can't post here for some reason, he can view, but IE wont let him post. I recommended getting Firefox to him, but so far he wasn't convinced. And to Mask, I was told that someone mounted the horse and deliberately rode away with it and went to those hostile mobs. I do not know how far he traveled by that means, but anyway, I have an idea.

order horse mountallow Mask

adding a command like that works for me so your mount doesn't let anyone ride it unless you tell it to.

I think something like that would be a wonderful addition to the glory use list. X glory will get us to set your mount so no one else can ride it.

No thanks. I'll save up for 2 feats added to my mount: Celestial Bloodline and Eyes of Light.

I think, Common sense applies here.

As long as you don't forget the 2 sentences, "IC Actions means IC Consequences" and "It is not because the code permits that it is IC to do so and counterwise", everything should be fine.

And if you feel to have been harrased, annoyed, witnessing bad rp, ect ect then complaint is the way to go.

Does order player stablepet <person> work, also?

All jokes aside, let's not try to make the playerbase think there are commands there are not. Our code is heavily modified thanks to our amazing coder.

Personally, the only reason I enjoy playing this game is because it is so realistic, the fact that you can leave something behind and someone can steal it and do whatever just makes me happy. If I was going to add anything to the game that would help this poor soul, it would be some code that when a mount or minion is attacked it will yell for help from it's owner...

Horse gets attacks

Msg received by players:
In the distance, you hear cries of panic for PlayerX

For animals who obviously can't speak there would be code based on their race 'wolf, horse, pig' and based on that they would make cries such as howling, neighing, snorting or something in that nature, which if a player is within yelling distance will hear those cries and knowing that he/she has a pet of that nature could come to its rescue.

As I said though, blatantly leaving a pet open should be fair game, i'm all for a little more harshness in this game

They do yell, but its area specific. I don't know if they still yell as of this date though.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

Doesn't look like they do it anymore, unless it is mob-specific and based on a program on the individual mount. That could make sense to add to some mounts, though?

The thought occured to me also, but there are some issues with that:
The mount would need a plausible warning added to a fight_prog. A horse's whinny or "scream", for example.
  • -The fight_prog would have to check ispc($f)? Are we only concerned with PCs attacking the mount? Or do we want to warn in general?
-The warning would get irritating if the owner was present. I'm not sure we can check for that right now.
-The code right now allows a warning to either the adjacent rooms or everying in yelling distance.
-Which mounts would get this and who makes that decision?
I guess my take is just that this may be more work than it's worth, but I might be missing an easier way to do this.

Berdusk
N-River Chionthar E-River Chionthar S-Vale Gate W-Plains
NE-Uldoon Trail NW-Skulbask Road SE-Plains SW-Plains
The road is clear of grass and heavily rutted from the passage of
many wagons bearing their heavy loads. There are several potholes
that you must take care to avoid tripping in.
The sky is rainy and a warm southerly breeze blows.
( 9) A pile of horse manure lies here. (superb)
A small hill pony is here.

This was the sort of mount Xaden used to target. Sitting in an area a couple 'steps' from a stable, obviously left unattended, and crapping all over the place.
