makeloot

Edit : changed my idea

Would it be possible to make two tables (one for quest reward and one for mob drop) to help builders know what reward to give for quests and big unique mob drop ?

they would be like :

level 10-20 : you should give 1 minor
level 20-30 : you should give 1 medium or 2 minor
level 30-40 : you should give 1 medium and 1 minor or 2 minor
level 40-50 : you should give 1 major or 2 medium
level 50+ : you should give 1 major and 1 medium or 3 medium

I don't know what that table should be but it would be a great help...

The Major and Medium tables are disabled right now. My recommendation would be to simply work combinations of the minor tables in ways that you believe to be appropriate to your audience. Most of the newbie quests in Waterdeep, for example, use makeloot minor armour in order to give low-levels something to wear.

They are disabled now but it will change, I hope :)

Well, in ZK, I got a minor wondrous item for a simple "go get something elsewhere in the city"... did it at level 1... cloak +2 cha + 1 scroll :)
The character with me, also level 1, got a +2 con amulet.

my problem is "you believe to be appropriate"

So my point would be to give a table so builders have guideline (nothing mandatory, just advice) to follow when choosing the rewards of a quest or the loot of a big NPC.
I don't care if we chose to be generous or not in game, but I find it might be easier and more consistent to all follow about the same rules...
I would find it sad to have everyone always questing the same places rather than others because the builders there were more generous...

But it's just an idea :)
