No squires are not paladins, so if a shop is just for paladins then its just for paladins, not squires. However there are shops just for squires. Look for them IC.
If someone was to become a Squire and Defer from the Paladin path, what would happen to the Paladin/Squire Combat skills they gained?
You would have the skills removed that you gained from the squire class, and put into the plain warrior class. Just if you can join another guild or not depends on your case. We have had paladins that fell, and they were unable to join new guilds. We had one elect to become a paladin again, and the others after a time gained permission to join the fighters guild.
A squire who finds that the paladin path is not for them will in all likelyhood be offered the chance to become a fighter for their god. It really is a case by case thing, if your character remains good, and remains true to the faith he/she has chosen, then becoming a fighter is fine. However, if there is some sort of evil acts, then we would have to see.
How will the stages now work? Will you become a Squire as soon as you start your path to Paladin Hood, or will it be another stepping stone (Get Holy Symbol, start training, continue training, become squire, train, train, paladin {Add a lot more trainings here and there})
No the squire guild option will come about halfway through the lessons. A quest will trigger that the squire will complete and at the end he will be in the squires guild.
The process is:
- Do the quest to see if you want to be a paladin.
- Roleplay with the faith you have chosen to arrange to be a paladin and join the faith.
- Get symbol.
- Do lessons with knight and roleplay etc.
- Join the squires guild around halfway through.
- Finish lessons
- Be assessed by your peers, redo any lessons that may be felt your character needs.
We expect alot of paladins and bards. But those who do play those classes well, really enjoy it. And FK is a better place for it.
