Skyrim?

Post by Tyeslan » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:15 am

So the final couple days approach. How many others of us are going to be gone most the weekend, delving into the lands of the Elder Scrolls?

I pick my copy up first thing Friday morning... and then work all day and night through sunday, before resuming my normal work week. It is going to be a weekend of harsh temptation.

That’s going to have to be a Christmas present for me. My cash went to MW3 and AC Rev.

I don't know what it is, but I assume its a type of food or a bowl.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

I've got it now, but I am home and my xbox is at the boyfriend's house. I'll pop it in as soon as I get there...maybe tomorrow afternoon. >_> As if I needed yet another thing to keep me away from FK, right? ;)

(Also, boyfriend talked me into buying the strategy guide. I am not a big fan of those things, but oh well. It was for a good cause.)

I probably won't use it for anything other than a large paperweight. Seriously, it's huge. (that's what she said.)

Bought it, but won't get to it until I finish some of my other games. With a mountain of other games, like Batman and finishing up with Dragon Age 2, to eat away at my very limited spare time I can't even think of starting a game that has been mentioned to 'never end'. Couldn't resist getting it though, I arranged to get it for $20. For that price, it'll be there when I get to it.

Far as strat guides are concerned, I see them as a waste of cash. Within a month of release, anything you ever want to know about any game out there is on the net, for free. Most even get their own wiki page, updated regularly by people that play it.

I'm not proud, I admit I've used those sites for certain games and I will use it for Skyrim too. Won't use them step by step or anything, but I certainly will read up on what X skill does and which magic is useful at early levels. Big games like Skyrim, it doesn't hurt to know what is useful. I still have nightmares of playing other Elder scroll titles, clueless of what skills do, and try to beat the game with the worst skills because I thought they looked neat but didn't realize they suck at high end content.

Tell me about it, I even considered pretending not to feel well this weekend in order to avoid having to socialise. It's so pretty, I just want to sit and stare at it.

Add another one to the Skyrim addiction club. I had company in all weekend so I finally jumped in Sunday afternoon. Early impressions are very good. I suppose I should consider the fact that I am sitting at work thinking about which cave I should go investigate when I get home as a sign of a good game. Or it could be a sign of my weak will and lack of focus. I vote game because I have plenty of focu.....ooohhh...shiny thing....what were we talking about?

Is it sad that I find jumping up and down on a forge to damage my character so I can level my healing spells a better use of my time then socializing with real people?

Oh god. I am in love with this game. My weekend was sucked into the abyss of Skyrim. I can't wait to play more. *squee!*

WOW! I got it.
I am addicted, up till 4:30am daily.
Its.. really .... nice. I even bought a new graphic card that can max the game out. My GF thought I was watching a movie!

FK time might definitely suffer for a while for me...

I took the poor man's path and got the 360 version. Just couldn't swing the cash for upgrades to do a PC version justice, especially with xmas around the corner. Not complaining though, the console versions do the graphics well.

Nothing wrong with that, that's what I'm doing. Plus (boyfriend's) HiDef TV. :D

We started playing it last night. I told David that it was time to upgrade to a bigger Hidef TV.

Love the game! It has turned out to be just what everyone said it was going to be.
