Another new guy

Post by Anthalas » Tue Jan 31, 2012 6:22 pm

Hi everyone! I'm new here too, though not new to muds or to roleplay. I've bumped into a few players already and I must say that I've observed some very huge differences between here and the mud I came from. Very positive differences.

I love how this game is structured around a community of players and that there are many avenues that easily help a player settle in. My past mud was very strict about a lot of things.

I've had the chance to interact with a few players both ic and ooc and I must say that it has always been pleasant.

I love how, despite the D&D 3.5 rules implemented, that characters can differ from each other wildly and that there are an immense number of ways to build characters. Advancement isn't simple advancement, and there are many reasons to travel and explore because you can't get everything you need from one place.

I've been mudding on and off for a good 20 years now and I think I've found a new home.

With that said, I think I'll be around more!

Welcome aboard, Anthalas! I hope that you continue to enjoy the game. Remember that there is an on-line help system available both in game and here on the forums to answer most of your questions. You should always feel free to use the ASK command in game to seek out staff help though.

Happy gaming!

Welcome! I'm very pleased you took the time to introduce yourself. Us MUDders have to stick together, you know?

I know I've not run into you yet, but I'm actively seeking new employment to give me more free time. If/when that occurs, I'll be around again and probably will catch you to try to drag you off to one of my fun (probably suicidal) adventures.

If you ever run into any problems, I have found the quickest solution is to blame Sune. Failing that, the ASK channel is pretty good too.

Psh, not everyone here is still wet behind the ears like you, whippersnapper. You know, when I was your age, I had to walk uphill both ways to school in seven feet of snow in shoes that were two sizes too small for me. You kids these days are spoiled with your Ataris and gizmowhatsits.

This mud is EVIL!

I'll soon have no life if this continues.

The sheer amount of content built into this mud as well as the coding involved is just mind-blowing. Kudos to everyone that has put something into this. I am humbled and in awe.

ps. this is like crack in text-form. I cannot get enough.
