This spell creates a shimmering, magical field around the touched creature that averts attacks. The spell grants the subject a +2 deflection bonus to AC, with an additional +1 to the bonus for every six levels you have (maximum +5 deflection bonus at 18th level).
Shield of Faith
Shield of Faith
Shield of Faith currently grants +1 deflection - it should grant +2.

Where is that quote from?
"A man may die yet still endure if his work enters the greater work, for time is carried upon a current of forgotten deeds, and events of great moment are but the culmination of a single carefully placed thought." - Chime of Eons
Re: Shield of Faith
That quote is directly from the players handbook.
Of course in FK it may depend on your skill level with the spell?

Re: Shield of Faith
The same issue was brought up with Barkskin.
If you suck at the spell when you cast Barkskin, you get a +0 natural AC bonus... There's a minimum to that, too, but FK does not support cannon in either instances.

Well, the game wouldn't be very hard if you could just visit a trainer and gain skills and spells at full power right awaySelveem wrote: FK does not support cannon in either instances.
Re: Shield of Faith
I'm not sure if you're making a joke, but in case I wasn't clear: FK does not currently support cannon's references to the minimum bonus these spells are supposed to give. The minimum bonus you should possibly get from Shield of Faith is +2 Deflection AC. The minimum bonus you should get from Barkskin is +2 Natural AC.Briek wrote:Well, the game wouldn't be very hard if you could just visit a trainer and gain skills and spells at full power right awaySelveem wrote: FK does not support cannon in either instances.

Re: Shield of Faith
I'm getting a +2 bonus to deflection from Shield of Faith. I'm at apprentice level.
Re: Shield of Faith
And at Journeyman I'm getting a +3. It definitely levels as your skill in it increases (I'm not sure if it goes to the +5 max..), but that's not really the point. These spells have a minimum bonus that it doesn't follow. I think Barkskin is the worse one. I can understand a minimum +1 instead of +2 for Shield of Faith as, with almost all other spells, it strengthens as you skill up, but getting +0 for casting a benediction is a bit silly and encourages spamming for little reason.Anguin wrote:I'm getting a +2 bonus to deflection from Shield of Faith. Re: Shield of Faith
I should have specified - I was confused because I was at apprentice, with only +1. I can understand it being low before that.
