If you've died relatively near a corpse conservatory, then ask for someone to check and see if your corpse has been left there. Never assume your body is where you died.
He did mention in his last post that the corpse was moved from the location at which he died, and was not put in the corpse junkyard. It was moved without notice to a seemingly random place.
Not sure what to say for that situation, though. maybe just try to make it more clear somewhere that those who come across PC corpses should either put them in a conservatory or leave them alone.

Yeah, that was almost a year ago so ... meh ... I'm not too worried about it and it hasn't happened since. But I've got another character dead and it brought the situation back to mind so I posted about it. Being dead sucks.

Sorry, I somehow missed that the corpse was moved.
I know sacrifice is a logged command in FK. Maybe picking up and/or dropping player corpses needs to be logged as well to keep better track of where corpses end up? People really shouldn't be moving corpses to random or hard (harder?) to get locations.
If you're dead and your corpse has been moved to somewhere other than a corpse conservatory, then I believe it would be time to contact the game staff for assistance in finding your corpse. Per the PvP rules, "You must inform the player about the location of their PC's corpse via IC or OOC means if you are asked. You may not burn, sacrifice, or otherwise make it unavailable (put in a restricted place or bury it in a random place)." I think the same rules should apply when finding a player corpse. If you come across a player corpse somewhere in the game, you should either leave it where it is or make every effort to inform the deceased person (preferably IC) of the location of their corpse.

It wasn't a malicious act when it happened. They had good intentions, I believe.
I'd be surprised if anyone was doing it these days maliciously.

I missed that the corpse was moved. However, if it was moved then IC action was behind it. I can only say investigate IC with divination spells and work through it. If your corpse was taken to a place you've never been, like a forest, then sensing its location would yield ooc information, as said forests name would not be ic knowledge.
I'm still leaning towards this being a very low priority, if it's even one at all. I'd be more inclined to a prog that tells the deceased if someone picks up their corpse (no name given of who has it) and an echo if the corpse is in the conservatory.

It's a suggestions board. They can pick it up or not. Their choice, their roadmap, their code.
