Being devote to one god isn't the same as being faithed, in the game. Storm is, in fact, Chosen...but Storm also use to be a mage :) - not to mention her god that chose her has to do with arcane magic.

Kregor, you're right. For whatever reason I remembered them needing to be neutral good along with 15/12/15/15/10/15/3. Forgotten Realms box set makes it clear that while vast majority of bards are good or neutral - some evil bards take great advantage of the good will held to their profession.

My mistake.

A recent trip to Candlekeep's forums revealed that bards can, in fact, be very devout to a single god, and that the only thing that would hinder such an RP decision is the whim of the DM or layout of the game in question.

Considering FK's faith-heavy theme, it seems perfectly understandable for bards to follow whoever they want to.

If we were to go into specifics...why would any fighter follow a specific deity? Why would a wizard follow anyone except Mystra? In FR a lot of mortals follow more than one God, and in actuality some don't even have symbols, but normally they hold one God in more esteem then the others. This doesn't mean that just because they would follow that one God that their view is so narrow that they can only trust that one. I just don't see why all fighters should follow Tempus, all wizards Mystra, all thieves Mask, and all bards Oghma. People vary and classes are flexible. Not every bard's gonna be the stereotype.

A sharran bard is an interesting idea. Think of all the emo music, antiestabelishment stuff... well they get nearer and nearer. Keeping secrets just for the sake of keeping secrets is only one of the aspects of Shar anyway - a few secrets always seem to go loose to frighten the daylights out of little children.

Hope the above bit helps.
